STUDENT ABSENCES
Education is compulsory until the age of sixteen. Parents are expected to provide a brief note or a telephone call to the student absentee line 5461 8360 to explain every period of absence or lateness. Parents and Carers may also choose to use our school Stream app to notify us of an absence. If it is possible, please do so before the absence is to occur. Unexplained absences, those without a note or phone call, will mean an automated SMS is sent to the parent and responses are recorded on the department's One School. Student's late arrivals are also recorded as part day absenteeism if they are not validated with a reason.
